Back in KY

Well we survived the plane ride home. After getting up at 2:30 am and arriving at the airport around 4:00 am we found out that our flight had been delayed an hour and a half! So there we sat, all wide-eyed and bushy tailed in an airport that refused to let us take bottled water through security for formula. So Matt and I decided we would show them and just let Ava scream! This wouldn't have been terrible except for the fact that stores weren't open past security. The good news is there were 3 other babies on our flight that apparently had been given the go-ahead to scream too! Ava looked like an angel compared to them. So after missing our flight in Houston, we stopped for a little snack. I was craving BBQ like nobody's business, but the BBQ place only sold eggs, bacon, and biscuits. HMMM? Matt settled for pizza, Ava for 2 cans of smashed bananas and me for a sandwich. Back row joes again, we nestled into our seats and prepared for the worst! But to our surprise...AVA SLEPT! So here we are home with family and getting lots of help. Much appreciated help I might add. Matt will soon be defending our volleyball title (3 years in a row) without me. Diving for loose balls doesn't seem like a great idea at 6 mos. pregnant. So I will gather all of the yummy food I can and sit back relax and enjoy the tournament from my chair in the shade. We'll keep you posted!!
