Raise your hand...

...raise your hand if your SURE...you've never yelled surprise at your OWN surprise party! Well, I did, and here's why. Matt's class had organized a Western Themed get-together, and we wanted to surprise Becca for her Birthday. It only made sense to combine the two parties, so Jake made a cake, I went and bought a gift, and we got all dolled-up in our Western get-up. About an hour before the party, Jake came over to explain to me that Becca was hot on his trail concerning the surprise party and asked if Matt and I could wait to leave when they did so that she wouldn't think she is getting surprised. I said sure and even offered to bring some balloons. At 6:45 Jake knocked on our door and we headed out, making sure Becca saw that we too were just leaving, hoping to convince her that there would be no surprise.
As we arrived at Lindsey and Shawna's, I grabbed my camera to capture Becca's big surprise on film. After knocking, we encountered Lindsey in her very fashionable midriff top (now, Lindsey, you know dressing like that would get you on my blog!!)
I must admit that I was a little confused as to why no one had yelled, "Suprise, Becca" but just assumed that maybe the suprise would come later on in the evening when Jake brought in the cake. However, as we walked into the next room, everyone yelled "SUPRISE"- even ME! But, then, after some coaxing from the party planners, I looked at the sign and noticed that my name was on it, too! It was a going away party for us! I was SHOCKED! Two suprise parties in one year- I think that is some kind of record!! I was so touched that everyone thought enough of us to throw a party. I am truly going to miss all of these cowboys!

"Erin, look at the sign!"
I will totally miss this chick- we have such a great time together!
"Do NOT go in there!"
Tal and Kyle- all western-y
My little cowgirl

"Um, Long (my favorite Texasian), either your hat is too small, or your head is HUGE!"
I chose this shirt for Matt at Goodwill. It was in the men's section. However, when he started to get dressed he realized the buttons were on the wrong side- because it is a WOMAN'S shirt!
"Step back, girls, he's taken!"
Happy Birthday, Becca! We will miss you so much!
The three amigo-ettes- I just love these girls!
Jake- the Texas truck driver- 10-4 good buddy!
YeeHaw! Where's the grub?
Thanks to EVERYONE who came and helped give us a good 'ol Texas send-off! We will miss you guys soooo much! Matt and I feel like we have made lifelong friends! You have all been fabulous to us and we can't wait until you come visit us in KY!
