Texas-sized fun!

I can't even believe that we have ONE week before we move! Matt and I have begun the daunting task of re-packing everything for the big move East. He makes nightly trips to United, Walmart, and The Party Stop for some much needed boxes. Although, I feel like we have to be making progress, I am having a hard time staying focused on moving and feel like I am living in a stock room!
On a very sad note, I had to part ways with my beloved armoir, as I have been told by EVERY family member that I cannot put it in the U-Haul truck. I must admit, I am a little attached to this little MDF/wood laminate beauty! It is time to let it go, so I ventured out to sell it on Craig's List and made the sale in less than a week. Some lucky soul is going to adopt my armoir...and we sold them our washer and dryer, too. I was MUCH less attached to the washer and dryer!!

"Nooooooo....don't take it!"
After a terribly difficult parting with my beloved TV stand, I headed to Hobby Lobby with Kat and Becca to drown my sorrows. I wanted to get a Texas Star to take home with me as a souvenir of our time here, and Hobby Lobby had a huge assortment. Even though Kat told me these weren't exactly TX stars, I wasn't budging. Who doesn't need a zebra striped star? It reminded me of Texas, and that is all that matters! We also found these sweet Santa hats!
The most beautiful Texas Star EVER!
Aurora also came to play while her mommy went for an ultrasound. Ava Ryan enjoyed reading her books, while Tal (being the lady's man that he is), just enjoyed looking at her!
Tal showing Aurora his cool activity table...I think she was impressed!
Given that we have a few 100 boxes lying around, we decided to make tunnels!
"Follow me, I'll get us through safely!"We also took a little time to drive around town and check out some of the neighborhoods with Christmas lights. Ava gets so excited to see all of the lights and even started singing "Jingle Bells" while we were out and about!
"Smiling's my favorite!"
