The maze, pumpkins, and a big bruise!

First: The maze:
We had a great time at the 8-acre Maze this weekend. Every year the maze is a different design. This year's maze was an attempt to encourage everyone to vote. Before we went in, we chose a category card that had 10 questions listed on it. Upon reaching signs 1-10 in the maze, a question is read and the answer tells you whether or not to go right or left. Matt and I decided to try the movies and tv category, but picked up the little kids questions, too- JUST IN CASE! We did very well the first 5 questions, but soon realized that we weren't quite as smart as we thought! It was hilarious to keep running into the same people- EVERYONE WAS LOST! After an hour and a half, a few attempts at getting the guides perched above us (a la lifeguard style) to help direct us, we finally emerged victorious and EXHAUSTED!!

...after finishing the "big maze", Ava attempted the much smaller one. I was a PRO at this one!!Second: Pumpkins
After a quick stop to check out the animals and the trough full of corn that all of the kids were playing in, we picked out a pumpkin.

Waiting to pay for the pumpkin
It's okay, Mr. Pumpkin can ride in my seat!
My little Pumpkin-heads!

and finally: The big bruise!
At the time it seemed like a good idea to hoist Ava up so that we could ride the slides together- I mean what kind of parents would we be if we didn't allow her to try EVERYTHING! Let's just say that we only went down the slide one time because we totally biffed at the bottom, practically ripping my pants and giving me a bruise the size of Texas!! Needless to say, I am still on a strict Advil regimen!
