Skeley Clause

Boo! Well, I finally got out some of our Fall decorations including pumpkins, good 'ol candy corn, the pumpkin spice scented candles, and Santa Clause. Yes, you read correctly, Santa Clause. Let me clear a few things up... Santa Clause is actually a skeleton that I have thumb tacked (hey, don't snarl, I live in an apartment, so thumbtacks are a very valid hanging device) to the wall between my dining/office/kitchen. Now I don't normally go around calling skeletons Santa Clause, but apparently Ava does. She is so excited at the mere thought of Santa that I didn't have the heart to tell her that the dead, bony guy hanging on our wall wasn't him! I took her to Home Depot today to show her what Santa really looks like and she hasn't called him that since. I am hoping that she has made the connection. Tal is also mesmorized by our new guest. He just points at him and babbles. They both seem to have really welcomed him into our family...Wait a minute, I just got a great idea of how to turn halloween decorations into Christmas ones! I'll just slap a beard and a hat on old "skeley" and save a little money!

In other Holiday news, Matt is DRIVING ME CRAZY! For the past couple of nights he has been scaring me to the point that I either pee my pants or my heart stops. Now, I am a huge fan of jokes, but this has got to stop. For instance, the other night I was getting a late night snack without any lights on and he appeared out of nowhere- all I could see was the whites of his eyes- I panicked until I realized it was him. I think I just might start to carry around a bat- that'll teach him!!
