A quick update...

I haven't had a lot of time to blog lately. My mom and I have been unpacking our basement like mad women. I really would love to get completely unpacked from Amarillo before I go into labor- plus it gives me a chance to organize and sort all of the super cute baby girl clothes that Ava Ryan wore. Seeing them reminds me of how fast she has grown...
speaking of Ava Ryan...
lately she has been going through a TERRIBLE THREE'S STAGE- I put that in caps to try and emphasize just how hard she has been lately. I guess it doesn't help that I am HUGE (again the caps to emphasize!!) and not moving very quickly. Out of the blue she will fling herself on the floor and throw the biggest fit you have ever seen... sometimes my hormones get the best of me and I just fling myself on the floor and cry right along with her. Her latest problem is trying to control everything Tal does. If she can't physically make him obey her, she will bite him. So my mom did a little research and found that the top three reasons kids bite are:
1) Divorce
2) New Home
3) New Baby
well... she has experienced each to some degree over the past 9 weeks. First, while Matt and I aren't getting divorced, he is in TX finishing his Doctorate. Second, we are living in a new city in a new home without any of the familiar faces and places she is used to. Finally, she knows that we will have a new baby soon. So there you go, at least there is some reasoning to her madness!! On a much nicer note, Ava finished her summer session of gymnastics tonight and can't wait to begin again in September. Her newest loves are Popcorn, toenail polish, princess hair, painting, and watching Mommy's belly move. She is now able to recognize and name all of the alphabet and even write a few of her letters. We recently learned our address...just in case she needs to call 911 soon...now that I think about it, I need to teach her to recognize her numbers!!
Now onto Tal...
he is growing like a weed and just as sweet as ever. He is almost as tall as Ava Ryan now, so everywhere we go people ask if they are twins, then they look at my ginormous belly and sigh. He loves to play outside, has become a great little swimmer, and is even showing some interest in going pee pee in the potty. Some of his favorite phrases/words are: "I want juice", "Where's the basketball?"and, "Wanna watch Super Why". He mimics everything Ava does and eats like a champ! He is my precious left-handed baby boy!
Matt...
is still in Amarillo finishing up with school. One more week and I can officially refer to him as DR!! He has been staying with Long and studying a ton. We can't wait for him to come home and hope that Baby girl can wait one more week so that he can be here for her birth.
I...
am having camera troubles, hence the lack of pictures lately. I hope to buy a new camera soon so that I can take pictures of Baby Girl. I also went to the Dr. on Monday and my cervix doesn't seem to be changing much despite the contractions. He told me not to expect to go into labor this week, so now I am just playing the waiting game. If she doesn't come soon, I am going to run out of maternity clothes that actually cover my belly! Lately, I am a complete insomniac, and because Matt isn't home I am not even able to sleep in on Saturdays...so I am a little tired. He also owes me some Major Back/foot rubs! I think I have gotten one from him this entire pregnancy! I am also slowly decorating the house and preparing the nursery. I try and get out of the house at least once a day, but it takes an Army to get everyone ready and in the car since I still can't lift Tal into his carseat...I will be glad when I can begin to do things for myself again! My next doctor's appointment is Monday, so I am hoping to set an induction date just in case I don't go into labor on my own.

Sounds so hectic. I can't wait to see pics of baby girl so you better get a camera. I also found this cool website where you can order (and even have a party, I think) those letters you can put on things and walls. I wanted to tell you about it...www.uppercaseliving.com. Anyway, I hope "Dr." Matt can make it to the birth.

AShlyn and Alyssa went through the temper throwing right before and right after Ava was born. It gets better.
