We finally got the results of Tal's blood work! After waiting WAY TOO long to find out if the milk was affecting him, and some "not so nice" messages left to nurses who were obviously ignoring me (until I approached them in person) ,we finally got the call. His levels are well within "normal" range. Huge sigh of relief! My little guy can eat anything and everything that he wants! I must admit, after being told that he might have galactosemia one year ago, I am relieved that my worries are over. Now, as you tell by his fluffy cheeks, he is learning to enjoy all of the buttery, dairy-y(?), cheesy goodness that he missed out on! Yummo!!
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot! Tal went for his one year check up this week. Here are his stats:
32 inches (according to our amazed doc, the tippy-top of the charts- 98%)
24 lbs (75%)
He was a little trooper during the shots and loved the sucker that he got for being such a good boy! It won't be long before he catches up with Ava!
