Potty Time...break it down!!

Matt was gone from 7:30 this morning until 8:00 this evening, so I was expecting a long, exhausting day of asking Ava Ryan if she needed to go pee pee in the potty- but that wasn't the case. This morning she came to me and said, "I need go pee pee." Not quite believing her, I reluctantly took off her DRY diaper and placed her on the potty. Then we both heard it- the wonderful sound of splashing pee- okay, not usually a wonderful sound (especially in a public bathroom), but you would have thought we won the lottery from all of the clapping, dancing, and yelling. Her big blue eyes looked right at me and said, "how.... 'bout.... CANDY!" Honestly, at that moment I would have given the child a new car if she asked for it! We have had such a struggle with the whole "training thing" and her complete unwillingness to even try. Wait... it gets even better! She didn't have one accident ALL DAY LONG and even went SEVEN more times. Let's just say she's a little sugared up tonight! Oh well, baby steps! Hopefully she will be as interested tomorrow- I'm trying not to get too excited, YET!!!
