Last Saturday we went with a couple of friends to a pumpkin patch...a very, very redneck one! Because it looked like rain, we decided to go to a "local" patch instead of driving an hour to the better one...bad idea! Luckily, Ava is only 3 and really didn't notice that we were out in the middle of nowhere, a la Deliverance Country! Our day started with a few pictures...
...and then a quick trip inside this little beauty to pay way too much for way too little!
...on the up-side we were given a tour guide, on the down-side, she had yet to hit puberty
after paying an arm and a leg, we were given a cup of dog food and told to go and feed the ducks, who had been given so much dog food that day they were about to bark...well, barf...
...soon, it was time for a very redneck hayride, to a very sparse pumpkin patch...
...well, at least Ava Ryan had a nice time...
Then, I managed to find the only person on the pumpkin patch who was blind in one eye and couldn't see out of the other to take our group picture!
Because we barely spent an hour at the "Pumpkin Patch from you know where", we decided to take the kids somewhere classy...the bowling alley!Where is that ball?

Notice: the ball hasn't even made it to the pins yet! It was a long game!! But, in between their slow-rolling, the kiddos did a few break dance moves on the uber slick wood floor.
...and finally, the results! How did Ava manage to not hit ANY pins TEN times when the gutter guard was up??
After leaving the bowling alley we headed home to a long, hot bath and a good scrubbin'!

A person really cannot appreciate a place like that unless they have been to the south. I was laughing only because I have!! What a day! And to finish it all off with bowling--I would say perfect! ;)
That story is too funny, but the ending wasn't what I thought it would be...I thought you'd go from the redneck pumpkin patch to the skating rink. The bowling alley is a much classier choice.
