A lot of you have been asking why I haven't posted any more pictures of the house- the reason- our builder went on vacation and we have had a few days of rain, so not much has been done. Here is an updated picture, that won't be so updated after tomorrow! It looks like the basement is completely poured and the supports for the first floor are practically up. Now all we need is a floor!
Here is some info on our new house:
*full basement
*4 bedrooms
*3 baths
*bonus room upstairs
*nice, big master bath with walk in shower and SEPARATE CLOSETS!! (mine will be 10x8!!)
*2 fireplaces (one in living room, another in kitchen)
*jack-n-jill bath for kids (each will have their own vanity room, just sharing tub and toilet)
*playroom off of kitchen with a loft
*a nice big laundry/mudroom
*covered porches (front and back)

The layout sounds perfect for a family with little kids. Where in Corbin are you building?
I love jack and jill bathrooms. Your house sounds beautiful. What we have found about flooring and carpet is that you get what you pay for....we have to replace our carpet downstairs this fall because it looks awful and it's not even a year old. We love the dark hardwood floor, but it is very hard to keep clean. I would highly recommend smooth ceramic tile if you plan to use it. In our house now the tile in our kitchen has a rough type texture which is perfect for food to get smashed in and it is very hard to clean. That's our advice from our zoo.
