Multi-tasking

I think it is safe to say that Ava is potty trained- for the second time. We were trained in Amarillo initially, then, with the big move to Kentucky, she completely lost interest and preferred diapers. Because we were living with Matt's parents, I waited to "lay down the law" until we moved into our new home. She was re-trained within 3 days! Our deal was that she could have a piece of "potty candy" after going pee pee and ICECREAM for going poo. In the beginning she would say, "It's not gonna hurt," and I would have to reassure her that poo pooing in the potty wouldn't hurt. Once we got past that hurdle she began #2-ing like a pro! One day she went #2 5 times... I think she had my number. She knew that she would get icecream each time she went, so she RATIONED it! What a smart little lady! By the end of that day, the mere thought of icecream made her sick!!!
The picture below was taken recently. Ava, even though she has a super cute bathroom all her own, prefers to go potty in the "purple bathroom." I usually leave her in peace while she does her business only to return to wipe, flush, and wash. However, on this particular day, the television in the living room must have been tuned to a program she was interested in because I found her like this... ...now, that's what I call multi-tasking!
