Today was one of those days that just went on and on and on...
Matt was gone all day long studying for a test and the kids had runny noses, so we just stayed in. The day started off with baths. First Ava- who absolutely soaked me. (I actually have to roll up my pants and get in the tub just to get her out) Then came Tal's bath in the kitchen sink. Soon came two very poopy diapers and finally- NAPS!
Soon I heard Ava in her room making a ton of noise- with an occasional scream. I tried my best to follow the pediatrician's advice and just let her scream to teach her that it is nap time, but I can only take so much. I could tell something was wrong the closer I got to her room. She was chanting "STINKY POO POO, STINKY POO POO!" "Okay," I thought to myself, "I'll just rush in, change her, and put her back down."
Now you cannot imagine what I saw (and smelled) as I entered her room. (The pictures are too graphic/gross to put up!!) She was standing in her crib, holding her diaper. She had taken every last piece of poo and tossed them across the room. However, she did save some so that she could paint her crib, face, etc. So there she stood (in her pee), covered in poo! I started running around in circles- what should I do first?? How about throw-up!? Needless to say, she got another bath! After disinfecting her entire room, changing 3 more very nasty diapers, and tending to two constantly runny noses, I sat down, watched Big Brother and let Matt take over for a while! Hopefully tomorrow will smell better!!

Oh my Erin, what a day you had, moms should for sure earn a salary for motherhood and all that comes along with it!!!! Hope today is a better day for you!!!!
oh my goodness! you poor soul. that does not sound like a very fun clean up. Ava doesn't look too happy in the tub. Maybe this will be her last time to play in her poo poo...let's hope so for your sake! Potty training is just around the corner!
thats pretty funny and ironic cause when i was on the mission with matt, i woke up one morning to find him sitting at the edge of his bed, covered in what i thought was mud but came to find it was his own poo. he had the biggest smile on his face, like life couldn't get any better! like father, like daughter...way to go knucklehead!
Oh Erin what a day! I hope that Ava doesn't do that again at least not until her daddy's home. Bless your heart. We can't say that we have ever experienced that with Cooper and I hope that we don't. Hope that the runny noses are better and the poo is alot better!
Sorry, but I just had to laugh!!
Sometimes it's nice to be 17 hours away!
