This weekend Matt graduated from Texas Tech University with a Masters in Physical Therapy (soon to be a Doctorate after his 9 week summer session!) So we all headed West to Lubbock Texas to attend the ceremony and see some good friends for one last time. I must admit flying to Lubbock wasn't my idea of a vacation, as I had lived there one summer for what was supposed to be 8 weeks...but I only made it 4 weeks before I packed up and headed back East! The only thing I was really looking forward to was some dry, hot weather, as here in KY it has been raining for weeks! I didn't get my wish- it was chilly and rainy in Lubbock :( I was also a little worried about the swine flu, so I broke out some serious antibacterial wipes...I bet our row of seats was the cleanest in the entire country!)

After checking into our hotel and getting a not-so-great nights sleep, we loaded up and headed to graduation.

After graduation we had a rainy day in Lubbock to kill, so after eating at Rosa's we headed to the mall- along with EVERYONE else! I talked Sharon into getting her eyebrows threaded.

So, after a super quick trip and saying goodbye to some very special friends, we hopped a plane and headed home. The kids were fantastic and slept most of the way home...what a great end to a long journey...
Thank goodness for portable DVD players- they are kind of like the new Benadryl!!

I'm so bummed I didn't get to see you guys! Actually, I saw you takin pics in front of us. It was so crazy and hard to find anyone. What a drag. I'm glad you guys had an uneventful trip, we'll have to catch up some other time. Take care!
