Off the charts!

Yesterday, my mom and I took Talmage to the pediatrician for his 18 month well-child check-up. Our doctor is absolutely fabulous, so my kids rarely cry now when they have to go to the doctor. The poor little guy got FOUR shots (apparently our ped. in TX forgot one very important shot), so we had to play a little game of catch-up. I must admit that makes me a little nervous. As parents we put so much trust in our kids' doctors and to find out that one was left out, well, it just makes me plain mad! I am glad that we have such an attentive doctor now! After 4 "sticks", a couple of cute bandaids, and some serious Tylenol, Tal slept off his soreness.
While I know he continues to grow like a little weed, I was still surprised by how much he has actually grown! He is in the 80th percentile for weight and off of the charts for height. This boy doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon! Right now some of his favorite things to do are play peek-a-boo, climb on anything and everything, eat enough to make a grown man sick, play tag with Ava, and throw balls. He doesn't really even notice my ever-expanding belly, not like Ava did when I was pregnant with him, anyway. I am afraid he will be in for quite a shock in 10 weeks when he becomes a big brother. The little guy is just way too active to notice much right now!
