It's after 11pm and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my kin folks (had to give this post a little "KY flavor"). They got delayed in, yes you guessed it, Dallas! Instead of pacing the floor, I thought I might catch up on everyone else's lives by reading blogs and catch up on Celebrity life by watching the Daily 10 on E!. Celebrity gossip is a major weakness of mine!
This week has flown by! Each day starts with Ava making sure that we are still going to Chucky Cheese with Papaw, eating cake, getting boons (balloons), and paying (playing) for her birthday. She has started counting and can get to about 4 before the words get a little fuzzy and not quite right. I can't believe my baby will be two on Sunday- how fast the time goes. Tomorrow I plan on getting her cake and a blue million helium balloons. Those will keep her occupied for hours! I am sure that Granna and Papaw will take her to Chucky Cheese, the park, and anywhere else her cute little heart desires! This week she has not felt great, discovered her love of makeup (lets just say bottle of foundation...Ava's face, hands, clothes...carpet), and learned how to use the DVD player like a pro. Oh yeah, one last thing about Ava Ryan-as you know, from an earlier post, she has been saying "OK baby" to me. Well this week it is something new. When I ask her to do something I tell her to say "OK Momma" to try and get her out of the habit of calling me baby- well my tactics backfired- she now says, "Okay Baby-Momma!" I never thought I would be referred to as someone's "baby-Momma!" Geez!

Now onto my chubby little bubby. Talmage is getting better at sleeping through the night, so Momma is happy- and rested! Thank goodness for MAC concealer for those "not enough sleep, dark ugly undereye circles." He is also eating a little too much! I started noticing that the little chunker was hungry every 2 hours. So I started writing down all the bottles and times, and found that he is downing at least 38 oz. in a 24 hour period. I think I'll step up the solid foods next week.
Matt and I have had an eventful week, too. I caught up on The Hills via the internet, watched Natalie get evicted from Big Brother (Matt joined in on this fun- he is such a closet Big Brother watcher!), watched the CMA's every time it replayed on tv, tried a couple of new recipes, finalized my last 2 Masters classes, and went to check out even more of the Parade of Homes. I love to see the looks on peoples faces when we come rolling up to a super expensive house with 2 little kids! Hey, I've got tickets- they have to let me in! Then we ask the realtors questions like a bunch of toddlers- "What's that? and that?" I love learning all of the details! Matt also held both kids while I took picture after picture of things that we liked- namely those ginormous walk in showers! And... who knew that they make microwaves now that look like ovens?? I also picked up a home stagers card from one of the homes, threw caution to the wind, and e-mailed her to ask if I could shadow her on a job sometime. I was totally expecting her to ignore my e-mail- but she didn't. We plan on getting together very soon so that I can learn some tricks of the trade.
